We’re still trying to figure out our Halloween traditions but we know that carving pumpkins will definitely be one of them! We carved our first family pumpkin this year and we’re pretty proud of our jack-o-lantern. Afterwards, we read Little Boo by Stephen Wunderli, the story of a pumpkin seed’s journey to becoming scary. It’s the perfect book to read after digging around in a pumpkin and playing with all the seeds. The book illustrates the lifecycle of a pumpkin and teaches a great lesson on patience.
The next day we cooked up the pumpkin seeds and read the book again! And side note- if you’re looking for a great pumpkin seed recipe, try this one out from Soup Addict- Honey Sriracha Pumpkin Seed Recipe. A friend sent it to us and we’re officially addicted.
